Mould Prevention

Our team of expert surveyors and engineers are dedicated to finding the most effective solution to prevent mould and condensation in your property. We achieve this by installing the correct ventilation systems and ensuring an adequate, continuous flow of fresh air throughout, creating a healthier and more comfortable living environment.

Mould Treatment

One of our skilled mould technicians will expertly sterilise the mould and treat the surrounding areas to capture any unseen spores, preventing further spread. They will then apply a mould-resistant emulsion, ensuring the treated area remains protected. This protection is achieved using advanced paint technology incorporating a biocide throughout the paint film, creating a durable barrier resistant to condensation. With proper heating and ventilation, the property can benefit from a lifetime of protection against mould recurrence.

Radon Testing

We offer two types of radon tests: a 10-day rapid test and a highly accurate 90-day test, both analysed by a UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) validated laboratory. One of our trained radon technicians will visit the property to place two detectors in appropriate locations and explain the testing process to the occupants.

We’ll schedule a convenient collection date, submit the detectors to a laboratory to analyse the results, and provide a clear summary of our findings. If elevated radon levels are detected, we’ll offer expert guidance on the most effective mitigation measures.

Radon Mitigation

Our expert engineers can find and install the correct solution if a home has been tested and has high radon levels. Whether installing an underground sump or improving airflow within the property, our team is committed to finding an effective and long-lasting solution that ensures the property is safe and healthy.

FAQ’s

What is radon?

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can seep into homes from the ground. It is odourless, colourless, and tasteless, making it undetectable without special testing.

How do I know if my home has radon?

The only way to know if you have radon is by testing. Radon can enter any home, regardless of its age, type, or location. Testing is the only way to determine whether levels are elevated.

What causes mould growth?

Mould requires moisture to grow. Common causes of mould growth in homes are high humidity, condensation and poor ventilation. Areas prone to mould are around windows and doors and any cold spots on walls and ceilings where condensation forms.

How do we remove mould?

Our professional mould removal involves identifying the source of moisture, treating the affected area and removing the mould safely. This process includes the use of specialised mould treatment chemicals and paint.

How do I prevent mould growing?

To prevent mould from growing, you must ensure enough airflow through your home with the correct ventilation for your house size and occupants. This will keep humidity down, preventing condensation that leads to mould.
